-The Apache Indians, like most Indians, are very religious, they had many ceremonies and also believed that spirits are all around them.
-Children also have to participate in these ceremonies also. One they had was when the baby has matured from its "immaturity", the medicine man has to cut its hair for a symbol of good health, but when the baby reaches man hood, they stopped cutting its hair and just let it grow out, otherwise they believed it would bring misfortune.Another one was called the Moccasin ceremony where they gave the child new clothes and shoes and made them walked a pollen path so it can ensure that the child would have a good journey.

-They were a Nomadic Tribe who likes to move from place to place.
-The Apache tribe had an infamous Indian named Geronimo who will secure their name in the history books.
Overall the Apache people share a lot of common traits with other Indians, but its their differences that make them different and interesting compared to the other Indians.
Apache History-
-Ironically, the Apaches came from cold areas like Canada and Alaska. They would eventually migrate down South to warmer areas of the U.S.
-In 1700, most of the Apaches moved to the Kansas plain, it didn't suit them well as they were not used to farming on the plains, but they did grew crops like watermelon, beans and corns. But the Comanches saw their weakness and took over their area forcing them to move to New Mexico and Arizona
-In 1730, the Apaches encountered the Spaniards, they had many battles and is resulted in a lot of deaths.
-In 1743, the Spaniards gave the Apaches parts of Texas too ease the fights and deaths.
-In 1876 the Apaches where moved to the new reservation in trade for their land.
Unfortunately, there weren't very many incidents where all the Apaches had the same history, most of them had different history and leaders, but that is what makes up the rich history of the Apache people.
Geronimo-(1829-1909)
-Geronimo or Goyathlay means "one who yawns"
-Many if not all Apaches look up to Geronimo as a living embodiment of the Apache people, as he was aggressive and courageous in the face of danger and difficulty as what the Apache people where.
-And with these qualities, Geronimo would strike fear into the hearts of the settlers in Arizona and New Mexico, and that also means they also must treat him with a lot of respect.
-In 1858 Geronimos life will take a turn, after returning from his journey to Mexico for trade, he found out that his wife, his mother and three children were killed by Spanish soldiers, this fueled his vengeance and hatred for whites and he said that he would kill as many whites as he can.
-After the incident, Geronimo started destroying small settlements in Mexico, if earned his rank as a chief.
-When his tribe was removed from their land in 1876, Geronimo fleas away with his followers but will eventually get arrested and moved to "the new reservation" and lived a peaceful life until he heard that Apaches where getting spayed again, his vengeance would return.
-1876, when the U.S army tried to move Geronimo's tribe onto a reservation, he ran away and escaped the law like a bandit and runs into Mexico. Then he was the most feared Apache.
-In that time it took 5000 U.S soldiers, and 500 scouts, maybe even 3000 Mexican soldiers, and the knowledge of Apache scouts joining and helping the army is what brought Geronimo back to the reservation.
-After a few large rumors of hanging and trials, Geronimo ran away with 35 Apache soldier, and 109 Apache women and children, in 1886 after a few days of hiding Geronimo was found and was moved to Fort Marion and Pickens along with men, women and children.
-After a few years living in Forts and running away from the law, he became a rancher in 1904, he lived his life peacefully, he even rode in Teddy Roosevelt in his presidential inauguration parade in 1905.
Geronimo was a great Apache who has accomplished may things that many other Indians couldn't have done, and that made him infamous for being dangerous and also a well respected Apache.
